Magical – the place is a lot of fun! – 27th April 2011
My boyfriend proposed on our first night at Cedar Creek and our parents called the staff the next morning for a favour. We were upgraded from the lodges to their creek cabin-their best available- and mum hadn't even asked her favour yet she had them place champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries in the room so they were there when we arrived. Every time the staff saw us they asked how we were and used our first names.
The food was delicious and they have a very cool bar and snuggle lounge too!
Could not fault the service or accommodation at all - it was brilliant we will definitely be going again (maybe for our honeymoon!)

Family heaven – 4th April 2011
I recently had the opportunity to enjoy this fabulous resort on Mt Tamborine. Going away with your kids and their friends can be quite a challenge but this is family heaven. The activities especially the ropes course, rock hopping, and thunderegg mining are just great and kept everyone active all day.
We stayed in one of the creek lodges and found them again ideal for the family. Located right on the creek with wood fire, spa bath, and very comfortable beds. There is a kitchen with everything you need - although we ate mainly at the restaurant as the prices were very reasonable and the quality of food excellent.
Our kids and their friends are already asking when they can go back although they are thinking golf camping - they might but you will trouble getting the parents out of the lodges.

Family holiday – 7th February 2011
My family and I recently stayed at Cedar Creek for a few days, I have to say, it was a great place to go for a family of adults and children. We had a go at both the Adventure park ropes course as well as the Laser skirmish, we thoroughly enjoyed both, well worth the prices!! The food was great at both the restaurant and the kiosk, the wood fired pizzas were fantastic!! The room we stayed in was very comfortable and very clean which is one of the main reasons we will return and certainly recommend to friends as a place to stay. I think the best thing we found was the friendliness of the staff, no matter where we seemed to go on the property we were made to feel very welcome and the staff seemed happy to take the time to talk to us. .

Quiet romantic getaway – 28th January 2011
It was the best part of my holiday! My partner and I needed to get away for a few days and I had heard only good things about Cedar Creek Lodges from other family members. We went onto the website and booked straight away. We did the 2 night 'tastings' package. Fantastic! It included 2 nights and 2 breakfasts as well as a half day wine tastings tour with Mount Tambourine Tours. We felt so spoilt as it went overtime due to lack of customers on the mountain. The lodges don't look like much from the outside, but inside they are cosy, warm and peaceful. After all the rain we had at the beginning of the year I was surprised that the rooms weren't musty or mouldy, it was clean and tidy. The only thing (that didn't bother us but I thought of other family members at this stage), was that the water for the shower/spa was a little brown due to the amount of rainfall. Also, there was no dishwashing liquid to rinse plates we had used. However, as an overall experience.....We're going back!!!

Amazing transformation of this resort – 28th November 2010
We stayed in Frog Lodges for the weekend. Since we last visited a total renovation has taken place. This is now certainly 4/5 star. The dining room and new bar compliment the high quality food and service. A friend who requires a gluten free diet was most impressed by the wide menu selection. For lunch we dined outside on the terrace and enjoyed their wood fired pizzas. We found everything available for a good holiday, an adventure park, tennis, swimming pool, fossicking and horse riding to name some activities. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend with pleasant and helpful staff we will be back.

Surprise package – 15th November 2010
My two girls (7 & 4) and I met up a friend and her children, in the last week of school holidays. We were coming off the back of a great experience on an island holiday and time with family. When we arrived it was raining and set-in. There were many plans and our hopes of making it work let alone comfortable, were not high. At every turn we had such fun. Horse riding, the adventure park, hanging out in the cabin, the creek - the weather made no difference...The cabins are simple, but well appointed and surprising roomy. The 'start your fire' service was very handy - stacks of great timber available. The restaurant was great also - kids loved it.

Weekend to remember – 12th October 2010
My wife and I stayed here and had a great time. We stayed in a luxury spa room on the hill for 2 nights over a weekend - good price and it included a buffet breakfast which was really good. We did the ropes course and played laser skirmish, both were excellent. The first night we went up to Clancy’s Irish Pub for dinner which was lovely and the second night we stayed in house and dined at the new restaurant at cedar creek. The food was good, the service was good and the after dinner schnapps from the local distillery was just the right way to end a good night. We hope to make it up there again soon, it was just the perfect weekend away - just what my wife and I needed.

Best family weekend ever – 7th October 2010
I travelled to Cedar Creek Lodges at Tamborine Mountain (part of Thunderbird Park) last week for a 3 night stay with my children as part of a big group made up of many families from our school. We had booked into a range of accommodation including campsite and lodges/cabins and some people took their camper/trailers. My family (children 11, 8, 6, 3) stayed in the gorgeous creek side lodges. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed by the very friendly staff. Our private lodge was simply divine, situated right on beautiful Cedar Creek with a superb outlook from the windows and deck. We had a cosy fireplace, very comfortable beds, a small kitchen and a big spa bath in the bathroom. There was plenty of room in the cabin for all of us to relax and enjoy the serenity. We took part in many of the fantastic activities on offer including horse riding, fossicking for thundereggs, adventure Parc green challenge (an amazing challenge), mini golf and much more. The kids also spent lots of time exploring the creek and spotting the amazing range of birdlife that lives throughout the property. We ate at both the kiosk and the lodge restaurant and all the meals were of very high quality and reasonably priced. We all enjoyed the break from the city and embraced the friendly, laid back atmosphere Cedar Creek Lodges provides for families needing to relax and enjoy a very natural environment. We were all sad to leave after 3 nights, we are going to return again very soon!.

Better than expected – 4th August 2010
After reading past reviews I was quite apprehensive taking my extended family of 2 teenage kids and 2 kids under 6 to Cedar Creek. We had 2 lodges side by side, and despite the fact that they weren't roomy all 8 of us still managed to have lunch together on the deck. All amentias were in each lodge, but the cobwebs in the corners and the ceiling were quite visible. The creek running down below our lodge was a big hit with the kids to tinker around in safely. The service from the staff especially Vonda on reception was excellent and she even phoned us up at home saying we could check in early. The restaurant area has now finished its renovations and I must say it does look very smart, glad we weren't there during the renovation process. We ate the buffet breakfast twice and dined there at night time once and was impressed with the food and friendly service. We wanted to stay there to be on hand for the thunderbird park activities but to be honest if we didn't want those activities or wanted more space then we might've chosen elsewhere. I do think the accommodation is quite pricey for what it is and that should be looked at. Overall though a positive and happy experience.
