Dancing shadows, dappled sunlight, trickling water and birdsong accompany and guide you to his side. He waits - you mystically appear – he is still uncertain whether or not you are real or part of the enchantment of the forest. But you are real and so beautiful. Your vows are taken together beneath the soaring architecturally designed canopy beside the flowing waters of Cedar Creek. The only venue of its kind, the Rainforest Amphitheatre appears like floating gossamer connecting two worlds in a wildly enchanting setting. Against the backdrop of piccabeen palms and rainforest flora this natural and acoustically enhanced outdoor venue creates the most perfect beginning to the rest of your lives together.  Island Glade The architecturally designed and professionally landscaped companion to the Rainforest Amphitheatre. A bonfire beside the creek, a candle lit reception beneath the tiered suspended roofline within sight and sound of an illuminated waterfall spilling into pebbled rock pools. You and your guests will never see or experience anything as outstanding as the Island Glade. A one off - the jewel in Thunderbird Park’s crown. (50 people min.)  The Sanctuary A bygone era is captured in this colonial haven. An ambient room with timber parquetry floors, subtle crystal lighting and an open fireplace allows you and your guests to escape to a more tranquil era. The upper verandah overlooks a paved terrace backing onto Cedar Creek with majestic views of the rainforest’s towering canopy. (50 minimum)  Rainforest Restaurant and Bar The hub of Cedar Creek Lodges transforms into a fairy lit wonderland by night. Capice shell lanterns festoon the surrounding landscaped tropical gardens. With the double sided fireplace, this versatile area is warm and cozy in the cooler mountain months. The adjoining terrace is perfect for shared moments beneath starlit skies or an alternate outdoor venue on clear summer nights. |
